Course Topics
Introduction to Adobe Photoshop
Learn the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop allowing you to perform basic – intermediate functions focusing on the construction of a website. You will learn about gathering website requirements, different file formats, Raster vs Vector, screen resolutions, color modes and much more. Topics further include image interpolation and manipulation, image royalty issues, painting and filters.
Introduction to Adobe Dreamweaver
Adobe Dreamweaver is easy to use software that allows you to create professional webpages. You will learn how to quickly add design and functionality to pages without the need to program HTML code manually. It’s possible to create tables, edit frames, work with layers, insert JavaScript behaviors, etc., using simple graphical tools and wizards.
Introduction to Adobe Flash
This section of the course provides a quick overview of what Flash can do for your website. You learn the overall structure and basic animation techniques. First, you learn the various tools provided by the platform such as timelines, documents, frames, panels and more. Then you review motions and Shape Tweens. Last, you cover SWF file management, basic ActionScript and proper Flash design techniques.
Web Design Best Practices
While it’s important to learn how to use the tools for proper website development it’s just as important to know how to create powerful, clean and easy to maintain sites. LIVE-ed’s instructors bring to you their real world experience with the latest tips, tricks and best practice techniques. You learn about common website mistakes, proper site navigation and layout design techniques, as well as how to know what part of a site should be a graphic and what should not.
