The building blocks of the Web
In todays world, a web page has become a very complicated place.
If one wants to successfully develop a website, it’s not only the look and graphics that need to be focused on, but in some cases, equally important, are the “guts” behind the site. We will start this course by learning about what those “guts” are, and how to use and manipulate them to maximize traffic to the particular site.

Search Engine Optimization
Everyday, millions upon millions of searches are being done via search engines like Google and Microsoft Bing. People no longer type in a URL for a site,
but instead people are typing in search words via the different search engines.
In this section of the course, we will learn all about how to use the various tools given to us by Google and others, to optimize the website in order to raise the ranking in the search. We will also talk about analytics and conversion rate optimization for the web site.

Social Media
Social media has quickly become am extremely popular and useful way to quickly spread the word about your product and website. We will learn the tricks and trade of how to properly utilize programs such as Facebook, Twitter and the newly formed Google+ to draw customers to your site, product, business, service, or organization. We will also cover some of the basics on blogging, and how to effectively integrate blogging into your online marketing strategy.
Search Engine Marketing (paid advertising)
Lastly we will learn about the different ways to market your service, product, business, etc via paid internet marketing. We will discuss the specifics of what exactly is Google, PPC and Facebook advertising. You will learn when and where it is appropriate to use these tools, and how to effectively divide and manage your online marketing and advertising budgets.
