Course Topics Include:

Color Theory – Color Composition

The first section of the course will focus solely on Color. This will include learning how to use and implement color and light, color models, and color contrasts.  We will also go a bit in dept about the physiological and social aspects of color.  This will enable the student to understand better, when, where and how to use and implement color appropriately.

Typography

Here we will focus on design and layout for printed materials.   We will focus on the details of readability, layout and type area.  We will also talk about the basics of typesetting.

Basics of Graphic Design and Advertising

Creating advertising for both online and print,  is a huge part of a Graphic Designers business.  In the final part of the course, we will learn about target group analysis and gestalt psychology. We will also look at the basics of CI and CD, as well as start to talk about and learn some of the basics on  graphics branding for the client.
