Course Topics Include:

Introduction to Graphic Design

We will begin by discussing the history and meaning of Graphic Design. We will then move onto the basic concepts of design elements and advertising concepts.  Starting with and understanding  these concepts, it will enable the students to better understand design ideas and concepts,  both on and off paper.

 

Morphology

After understand the background concepts, the next step is to learn Morphology.  Here we will learn dot and line, basic Graphical symbols, combination and relations of symbols, and symbolism and psychology of symbols. We will also learn what it means to go from 2D to 3D.

 

Composition

Next we will learn the importance of propositions in Graphic Design.  We will also learn the concept of rhythm and dynamics. Lastly, we will focus on graphic relations that are based upon form, volume, size, textures and more.
