LIVE-ed will provide you with a link to archives of every course that is taught. This archive will be available within 24-48 hours after the course is given, and will be a video recording of the class session. This service if offered to paying students free of charge and is always available if a student misses a class or would like to review the materials from any given class. Each specific course will also be available for purchase for those who are not full time LIVE-ed students.
The archives are a full video recording of each class session. This includes the course presentation, teacher-student conversations, reviewed documents, and chat conversation. Hardware Requirements for Courses
At a minimum, a computer is needed which is connected to the internet with a high speed connection (DSL, ADSL, Cable, Fiber Optics). Additionally, the computer should have speakers or headphones and a microphone. This is sufficient for watching and listening to classes. If video participation is desired or required then there should be a web camera (ex. you use Skype) as well.

Class Recordings, Live vs. Recorded
All LIVE-ed.com classes are delivered by teachers located in Israel, and broadcast live via the Internet. Classes are given exclusively to LIVE-ed students in real time, so the teachers can answer your questions and interact with you directly. The class is simultaneously recorded and archived for future reference by registered LIVE-ed students, or for purchase for non-full time LIVE-ed students.
Notifications for the latest LIVE-ed course offerings
Click here to sign-up for our regular newsletter that will inform you of our latest course offerings and discounts. The sing up form is in the right side of every page.
The email received before each class, contains log in information. If this does not work, please contact the LIVE-ed office here.
Attending a Class without a Webcam
Courses can be viewed without a webcam. While the teacher and other students will not be able to see you, you can still see them and participate fully in the class. You also have the ability to not view any of the other students as well.
Attending a Class without a Microphone
It is possible to attend a web conference class without a microphone. You will still be able to hear and see the class. However, you will not be able to ask questions or interact fully in the classroom.
Inability to neither Hear nor Speak During a Class Session
Probably, you are not yet part of the audio conference. To enable this capability click on the “communicate” pull down menu and select “integrated VOIP.” Next, click on “join conference.” This should allow you to hear and speak. If this does not help, please contact our technical support by clicking here. It is recommended that you watch the training video on how to use the web conferencing software.
Difficulty Hearing the Teacher during the Class Session
The best way to tell is to try communicating with others in the class. If they can hear you without a problem, then the issue is most likely with the teacher. If you do not come through to others then the problem may be with your connection.
Running other Software during Class Sessions
It is possible to run other software during a class session. Certain classes teach students how to use specific software. However, Skype should be quit during a session. It’s not enough to simply minimize Skype. You must select the FILE menu within Skype and select QUIT to turn the software off. If left running it will interfere with the web conferencing software.
No Response from Technical Support
Technical support answers all received emails and calls as quickly as possible. During certain times, such as with the start of a new semester, there is a high volume of requests and it may take a bit longer to get back to you. Feel free to send us an email requesting the status of your request, but be assured that your request will be addressed as soon as possible.
Downloading Source Material Used During Class
When ending a class, you will be asked if you want to save the source material to your computer. You can also find the source material posted on your class’s main page. In addition, the source material is included in the archived classes section of the site.
You can access the archives from the top-right navigator or by going to the class’s main page and click “Browse Archives,”. It usually takes about 24- 48 hours for a class to be added to the archive list. You may need to download the WebEx Network Player to the video from the archives.
Playing Archived Video on an iPod or iPad
This feature is not currently supported. We are working on making the audio from a class available in MP3 format so that it can be transferred to an iPod or other mp3 player.
Downloading Archived Class Session for Non-registered Students
To download an archived class session for free you must be registered for that class. If you are not registered, then you may pay to purchase the rights to download each specific class individually.
