A Live Education! Newletter

Summer Seminar 2017

Understanding the Spirit of Waldorf Education
Live Education! is once again hosting the Summer Seminar
at the Santa Cruz Waldorf School at the end of July. It is a
wonderful opportunity to work with colleagues and mentors
to plan for the upcoming school year. We combine
foundation work with practical activities in the mornings and
afternoons, with inner preparatory work in the evenings. It
is a full 4 1/2 days with about 30 colleagues and a faculty
of 12, allowing for plenty of one-on-one mentoring sessions
with master Waldorf teachers. Our afternoon breakout
sessions will include math movement, beginning recorder,
storytelling, circle work, and creative discipline strategies.
In addition, George Hoffecker will be leading administrative
support sessions.

The price includes two organic, locally-sourced vegetarian
meals daily shared in community. We have a Waldorf
children's camp running alongside the seminar for children
of participants ages 5-14 and will include activities in the
arts, drama, spatial dynamics, circus, and archery. Send
me a note with a good day/time/number to call to discuss
details. Homeschool families, Waldorf class teachers (both
private and public), administrators, and board members
attend the Live Education! Summer Seminar each year,
and many bookend the event with a few days of vacation
exploring the redwoods and the beaches of lovely Santa

Please also look ahead to the launching of our new website
in the next couple of weeks! After more than 19 years with
a web presence, and the first international Waldorf
organization with a web site (1997), Live Education! is
proud to announce that we are modernizing....finally! Our
new site will be accessible from mobile devices, as well as
providing a more dynamic experience for the user.
